its been tried a few times. either: a. everyone gets lost b. traffic lights split everyone up c. cars get defected also, i enjoy vl cruises where you drive more than 500m in 15 minutes

bro F**k the cops and their F****n defects,, im sure if everyone behaves theyre not gonna pull us over for no reason if wer all cruising together, just for being worried about cops, the road is dead now and no one gets out, whats the point of havin a good car then. even crusing is boring coz theres never any good cars out.. i say evryone get ya cars out n get some action happening again, and by acton i DONT mean being a hoon the streets are F**ked coz evryones too scared to get theyre cars out, i dno how it is in sydney on thursday/friday/saturday nights but wollongong definetly needs some improvement,, we wanna see something better than p platers with n/a's evrywer F.F.S

^ mate cruise the city on a saturday night and 90% chance you will get pulled over and defected. i drove to laperous lasat sunday. did nothing wrong. parked the car, and as i was about to get out operation taipan pulled in behind me then defected me. it wasted my money and a few hours. im all for cruising but the city is a dicey place on a saturday night

yeahh i guess sydney might be worse then wollongong for that reason,, the cops arent as bad here they just look at the car as they drive by but if your not being an idiot they dont pick on ya, well thats how its been whenever im out anyways... but i rekon its just stupid if they pick on people who are on theyre full license

fst 747 the tuff laws for a wog in sydney baha heres the downlow , first off if you got dark skin brown hair your gone, chromies your gone , sacked your gone and patch lapaorouse dont even bother going if you got a vl, lapa died out 6 yrs ago, i reckon out west is the best .. i live brighton and villawood and i reckon out west is better to cruise... we should start doin regular cruises..

STEVENVL: regular cruises and out west as in where?? the crappiest thing is that no one owns any tuff vl's anymore around wollongong, most of the owners sold em, and now hardly any one puts in time n money on theyre cars. except for some sundays when there might be a few good cars out, the rest of the time is only p platers out, and offcourse p platers cant drive high performance cars i still cant get over how people used to have 9 second vl's out n about on thursday nights back a few years ago, that must of been sikkk

I was very fortunate to enjoy the days when Wollongong would become a car festival on Sunday afternoon. These days attracted 100's of full house toranas, falcons, rotors you name it cruising wollongong beaches. Back then a 11 sec VLT was only dream to most. It really was an exciting place to be, and it was a ritual to many spending the weekend preparing the car to be at its best for Sunday arvo cruising. It really was the young and the old getting together talking cars, meeting people and generally having a great time. As it did become quite out of control, I do understand why they policed it out, however I do believe they should have created a safe isolated environment where these activities to be carried out. Basically the streets surrounding the beaches were owned by car enthusiests and the general public and residents of the area couldnt move. It would take an hour to drive from south beach to north beach on Sunday. Go there now and less than 2 minutes.

i wish i was old enough to have been into the scene back then. and at your last comment, it still takes an hour because of all the bloody speed humps they have put alone there.

Honustly, there is not a car event you can attend that can compare to back then. It was young and old and cars that we can only dream of seeing on the street these days. LOL at the speedhumps.

yeahh see i missed out on the scene im 21 now and u know what i didnt ****en waste 3 yrs waiting for my golds to cruise with no carsss... ive had my vl for bout 8 months off road havent even enjoyed a cruise so once my turbo setup is on the new one ill be keen for anything... and i cant bilieve why people dont cruise anymore..... *** i got that geed i drove to Brisbane by myself 12 hr striaght in my turbo as soon as i got it, to stay at my mates then we both came back down... ill drive my beast to qld once a year.. and FST747 maybe we can switch cruises like sydney boys can come down gong meet with use then we go more south then next week use can come here and we go round parra then livo then maybe even penrith or mountains if your geed or out windsorr veryy nice scenery and hell old skool.. in time ill be cruising a 10 sec car for street... if your car looks tuff... cops will be lienient but if its eye candy then yehh ur gona get done... if your worried put some stockies on and go cruising... get exhaust silencer *** not that hard to dodge
