missing tags?

hey guys im looking at a car/shell for a prject base but it has no tags with it....BUT! the chassis number is still there and the car has been checked and is not stolen. just wanna know if anyone knows how you go about re-registering it once its done? cheers

wouldnt bother.. without compliance plates its not registerable without a hell of alot of trouble

yer i know this obviously but whats involved? its a vh and iv always wanted to build one this colour exactly and its rolling shell cheap cheap cheap with all the bodywork and mirror paint just wanna know whats involved i know its hard but what exactly

Check in the door skins. There was a guy on here who bought a VH or VK without tags & he was about to sell it then found them dumped in the door skins lol. People do some very weird ****...

Older cars are not really a concern, Vicroads & Police could not care less about, It's the newer models within 15 years that is the concern. *Rebirthers very rarely would rebirth a older car, no money in it. If vin is clear, take it down to your local Cop shop, fill out some forms, and they should be able to issue a surrogate number to allow registration. *But on another note no tags, = harder to sell down the track.
