Both wheels turn at the same time, good for drag racing, bad for going round courners

LOL this is funny, spools are for cheap skates specially if you just use them for the road to do sick skids.
Get a tightened LSD 28spline and you will be laughing.

20-07-10, 07:51 GMT+10#11 lol people ratting out on spools saying they're the cheap option, you probably granny your cars or they don't even have enough power to spin them up
lsd's - are for towing trailors
i've tried both, the lsd **** itself, the spool is going strong
if you can deal with a bit of road chatter i'd take the spool any day of the week, if you can't deal with it buy a proper diff locker if thats too expensive stick to ripping singles

Its only 25 spline...... I think replacing the axle 10 more times will still be ahead.

I agree. My LSD lasted 4 corners of Sandown. The mini spool has been running 11's and doing power skids and running around on ET's for 3-4 years now and never had an issue.
If you have a powerful car don't even waste your money on an LSD because you will break it and pay 8x what a spool will cost you.

LOL FOR SOME REASON PROGMH I DON'T THINK THESE FIRST YEAR APPS ARE CRUSING THE STREETS IN 11SEC CARS (ALTHOUGH SOME MAY WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF MUM AND DAD) but over all i think spool vs. lsd is a matter of opinion really go with ya gut guys mate of mine got conned into puttin a 3.45;1 28 spline lsd in a vs i built and f***** it within 2 weeks, but when the same car was mine the stocka diff loved it never had a problem with it i dont think lsd's like big torque they just cant handle it

nah lsd's are best....
love how everyone who bags out spools either has never owned one, or has the power to require one.
they kick ass.

edit: I'm not going to bother with another spool/LSD rant as anyone who's been around for more than 10 minutes will know my stance on them. It's up to you to do the research and decide what you want. Each has there pros and cons for each individual application.
