iv asked mechanics ,asked wreckers ,asked people who deal in commodores and i stil cant get an answer . Iv got a vp v6 irs , can i use the diff gears from a borg warner ,eg vl,vn?????? cheers guys

yes u can...can use all the way to vt series 2....vl gears will bolt straight into vp irs

Ring Gear and Pinion Set from VL to VT Series 1 (BW78 series diffs / Solid or IRS) are the same. Centres are different from Solid to IRS in that the IRS has a groove around it for the IRS CV's. IRS Centres WILL fit into Solid Diffs, but not vice versa. Anything VT Series 2 onwards (BW80 series diffs) will not fit earlier diffs.
