hey guys as some of you know i have put a 2speed power glide in my vl. Question i have is about the amount of convertor slip i am getting.. I measured the circumphrence of tyre and calculated the final drive ratio, and im coming up with 6.500rpm at 152mph. Well in the car the at the end of the track my engine revs are at 7,800rpm. So im wondering what i can do to reduce this amount of slip for more top end? and transfere more power to the wheels rather than loose it in heat in the convertor. The convertor is a tci 5200rpm. cheers Corran

Was it built as a 5200 convertor with a certain power figure in mind? Pushing higher horsepower through a convertor up's the stall speed / flares. Only thing is if its too tight you won't get boost off the line. Ring the convertor shop who built it. Well done on the 9.2 btw corran.

it was tubbed1's old trans/conv was built by keas few years ago. i think jake had it built for 900fwhp, which is what mine made. I might give them a call on monday. I have gas on it to help it get up as it seemed a little tight/slow and struggled to get over 3,500. Once it hits 5,000rpm i let the gas off and the engine will go to 7800rpm on the trans brake.. thanks man
