Hi All,
As above, before I go pay my local Holden Dealer a wad of cash to diagnose a fault with my VT 5L, does anyone on here have access to one and wants some cash in hand?
As a quick overview, the check engine light is on, it comes and goes depending on its mood making troubleshooting difficult.
When it is on tho, it shifts short and has no kick back, signs of a faultly TPS, although I have replaced this and it still happens.
Any ideas?
Cheers,
Steve

i spoke to my techs ans they said try trans, could be wiring harness, which is then freezing up computer causing light and the ramping up line pressure causeing a firm and short shift??

It does exactly that, short firm changes, with no kick back once it has upshifted.
So I should go chasing the loom to the trans?
Cheers Mate!

Prob the cheapest way to start chasing the prob and sounds like what you are getting.take pan off and check the loom out.

I GOT THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY VT1 V6 but it only does it after the car had been driven for more than 15 minutes then turned off for say 5 minutes.......as soon as i start it the seccond time the revs build clunks into gear and shifts quick wont kick back then the engine light comes on..........all i do is switch it of and start again and for some reason this fixes it..........got me stuffed what it is lol

Dropped the pan on the trans, had a look at all the wiring and all looks ok.
Reset the computer and get the error code 22 - Low voltage to the TPS.
Does anyone know what the voltage should be?
