Hey everyone i've been checkin out your cars on here for years while waiting to get my license and my vl We've had the calais in the family since 1987 when dad brought it, it was our only car until 2004 when we brought another car, so long story short the calais sat in a shed for 4 yrs then under a tarp for another year or so, until we finally decided to get it restored. the panelbeater said there was too much rust around the windscreen n boot so luckily there was a blue vl commodore at the same workshop for sale so we used her body instead more photos of the process...he actually took a good 8months too do all this primmmin time took a couple of weeks once it was ready to be painted since we were stuck with a typical panelbeater takin some shape of the old girl now, the pop ups didnt work at this time ---------- Post added 15-07-10 at 08:59 ---------- ah ****, my other thread has all the photos, sorry guys first time i posted something haha Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
