Hey boys and girls put shocks and springs in the VL over the weekend now theres a clunk on the left hand rear over bumps. i took a look under the car and it looks like the exhaust is hitting the pan-hard rod across the back of the rear end. obviously alot of people on here have lowered there VL's just wondering what you guys/girls have done to get more clearance without raising the car. its the standard exhaust which probably wont be on the car forever. and i know theres aftermarket adjustable pan-hard rods... i'm just interested on what other ppl have done. thanks

try and replace all the rubber exhaust hangers with shorter ones so it lifts the exhaust up closer to the body. could even try some big fat cable ties (look for ones that are a bit heat resistant so they don't melt. or could use steel hose clamps - use a small one that just fits around each hook, then use a longer one between the small one on the car and the small one on the exhaust, and wind them up as far as you can - just make sure the tailpipe isn't touching the rear bumper. and yea as you said - aftermarket adjustable panhard rod - as they have a bend in them to allow for the exhaust being closer on lowered cars - you will need an adjustable one for a lowered VL anyway to centre the diff and stop the tyres from scrubbing on one side.

Could be the tailshaft hitting the floor pan under the middle of the rear seat, dont worry it will stretch.
