Just thought I would put up some pics of my semi recent purchase. I got the wagon a couple of months ago and just got it on the road yesterday and funnily enough found a suitable email so I could join Calaisturbo (been quietly lurking the forum for past couple of months not being able to join). So here it is S/L 5sp Turbo Wagon...same state as she came from the factory in 1987, had not one aftermarket part on her when I got her, pretty much the same state now except she got a dose of the "Ultralows" yesterday and a new 1400pd hydraulic clutch. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

if u cut the existing rust out it wouldnt fill the face of a 5cent piece....3mm bubble front window 3 mm bubble rear window usual spots rest of car is straight as a die and rust free

its cleaner than mine. Quick write it off! i want the cleanest wagon title back! lol. very nice purchase. i see a cd player and a sunnies holder but apart from that no mods? are the rims 15x6"s with the ridges around the hub? can't get over how tidy it is. lose that cd player asap! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

The rust wouldn't be enough to cover a 5 cent piece 3mm bubble front wind screen and back one usual spots. Yeh original steelies under the caps...don't worry its not staying OG too long. Its getting everything rebuilt from front to back. Not bad for 410,000kms hey? Hahaha

bloody hell thats a lot of km's and moreso a lot of km's for the body to look that clean (even in pics) what are plans longterm? you say rebuild but to standard or? ---------- Post added 25-06-10 at 18:34 ---------- was the last owner a vl or carenthusiast? because for 410,000km that rocker cover would have to be a respray and i guess if thats the case there has been a bit of resto work on it. whats the history / story?

Haha yeh plenty of kms but its mint inside and out and still goes hard as any other stocker. Its only ever had the head recoed and new rings, pistons were perfect when head was taken off. Only thing gearbox is a little noisy but got another lined up. As for the build the outside will stay OG but its gonna get the usual dose of forged internals plenum, cooler etc etc JD Customs is hooking me up.

Hel yer that's sick!! Looks as nice as this wagon I left my number with an offer on in a local car park just the other day.. Blue/green all pro receive covers and a lil chrome nudge bar venitions and turbo. Best was the turbo hub caps and turbo badge on the back with the racv life member sticker up front next to the dissabled sticker!
