ive seen them on VS and some VL commodores and they look pretty good. Just don't get the really really bright ones (16000 or 32000?) cause they piss everyone off and attract too much attention.

If they go in im only looking at 6000K. try to stay out of trouble a little. ---------- Post added 16-06-10 at 11:41 ---------- These to be precise http://cgi.ebay.com.au/EDX-v1-HID-H4...item3cade9c153 (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/EDX-v1-HID-H4-H-L-Xenon-Kit-HOLDEN-VL-VN-VR-VS-VT-/260615815507?cmd=ViewItem&pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3cade9c153)

Man those show pony blue lights are annoying. I was sitting at the lights getting blinded by a guy 5 cars back hitting my rear view mirrors. Felt like road raging on him I pretty much had to have my head in the passenger seat to avoid them.

I investigated gutting the insides of the standard VL headlight and putting new parts in, in the form of projector style headlights with HID's. Could have done this for less than $500. Wouldn't be hard to do, but the legallity part is what got me. I believe I would need to install self levelers and washers to comply with ADR's.... and then have them engineered. Cost = way more than what I could afford for headlights... Standard Headlights on the VL are shithouse... but don't really want to just put HID bulbs in them as other ppl get pissed at you blinding them (not to mention that they are illegal).

Im pretty sure all HID have electric adjusting headlights / self leveling, but washers are just an option and are bumper bar mounted generally. ---------- Post added 17-06-10 at 09:14 ---------- See these headlights, they are actually just 'reflector' headlights they just take a normal bulb where it looks like it has a 'projector' Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Just point them down a bit more, they are that much better then standard that even pointing them straight down you'll get more light.

u cannot run HID lights in a reflector headlight, you will flood light everywhere and piss everyone off. between 4000-6000k has the most Lumens, above 6000k and it drops off quite quick.

Yeah I was more saying if its just the look your after you can build a reflector style headlight with some good h4 bulbs.

Colour depends on what temperature bulb you get, but the more colour you want the more light loss you get. for the most light output you want around 4000-6000k, if you get purple 12000k you will have **** all light output. 35watt HIDs are plenty, and if you only using a reflector headlight 55s would be extremely overkill. At the end of the day, hids in relfector headlights = gay, and i hope you get raped by the po po Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
