i dont get it, the autobahn in germany is UNLIMITED speed limit, and **** all deaths, but 140kmh is dangerous and gonna cause increased deaths? its the drivers, not the limit.

I think everyone who refers to the autobahn's in european countries need to consider that those roads are purpose built for such use and are continually monitored by high-technology equipment and staff, our roads are not and as such this will never happen.
Btw, I'm not having a shot at anyone here, just that lots of people have been using this example when in reality they are incomparable.

100% Agreed, theres little things about the autobahn that people wouldn't realise like how the gradient of the road can't go over 10 or 13 degrees or something like that. How do you think we build our road? Oh yeah put one through here and just throw some asphalt down and she'll be good. I wish we could have increased speed limits and not be as strict on speeding, but it's not going to change.

140 seems ideal. Doesnt seem to fast or too slow. Most roads that have 110 area's are dead quiet/empty.
