hey all I'm changing my plenum and have a question. I've got some sort of sensor which goes on the inlet manifold. I've searched every where and cant find it , it goes from the plenum and then goes back to the plenum. just asking if i need it or not and what it does cheers here's the pic http://i766.photobucket.com/albums/x...5/SDC10416.jpg (http://i766.photobucket.com/albums/xx305/ryron05/SDC10416.jpg)

Thats the air regulator. Its a valve which has an electric heater in it. When the engine is cold the valve is open and a small amount of air is bypassed around the throttle plate to raise the idle speed. Over a period of about 5 -10 mins, the heater warms up a bi-metal strip which then bends and closes the valve so the idle drops to normal. Once the engine is warm, heat soak through the inlet manifold keeps the valve open. It's mounted under the inlet manifold, and i would definately keep it unless you want to be constantly prodding the the accelerator pedal while its cold.
