hey ppl just after some thoughts, i might be buying another vl calais, (undecided) the calais has a 308 v8 in it, which were carbyed from factory, but this one has a injected setup up on it off a vp ss.(on top of the original carbyed block) wats the go,?? they a good set up. or am i looking at a lemon?? cheers

i dont see what would be wrong with it.ive seen plenty carby v8 with injected top half back in the day..... your vl stil retain the orig block?if so its 304

ohk thats good then, yer it still has the original block it, just has an injected stup on it, wil it need to be engineered?

i think the difference would be the pistons and rods from a carby 308 to injected

i doubt it very much.maybe one of the vic guys can help you.i would think going to injection would make it easier to pass a rw ---------- Post added 30-05-10 at 15:47 ---------- could be what wkd vl said but its not 308 its stil 304

nah.the efi on a carby motor is an old conversion mate should be no dramas
