sorry, im sure these threads come up a bit but i dont know enough about what to buy, its going in a vr Im looking at buying some front speakers, sub and 4ch amp I will be running front speakers and sub to amp. and rears to head unit i dont know weather i need to buy "front speakers" for the doors or in dash? and am unsure of size and wether i need splits, co-ax or component... as for the sub and amp whatever prefer to stick to same brand though... I will be making the sub box so if i could get some tips on what to use as i want it light as possible... i have a budget of around 150 for speakers (new) and willing to spend $500 for sub and amp (new or 2nd hand) I have an alpine brosure and am thinking of going with them for the fronts... im located in western suburbs of vic, if someone can provide info, advice, links etc etc im looking to buy these within a week so quick help please

You want your best/amped speakers up front as they are closer to you as the driver, but in some cases in stock set-ups the positions for speakers have larger ones in the back or 6x9s are used. I suggest getting a pair of good quality 6" splits in the fronts and coaxials in the rear, I am using Polk Audio Splits and co-axials at the moment and they do a great job un-amped, with a 1550w amp running my two 1200w Clarion subs.
