Hey guys i have just put my manifold back on, new plugs, cleaned the leads, put the dizzy cap (top and bottom) back on. so i went to fire it up and she doesn't want to fire up! after cranking a few times it backfired through the carby i have checked the leads- all good, checked the dizzy cap-all good i think! i never took the whole dizzy out or the rotor so i dont understand what could be wrong? does the dizzy work clockwise? (lead no.1 at 1 oclockish, lead 2 at 3oclockish, 3 @ 4 oclockish etc etc...? anyone have any ideas? Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

mate i'm pretty sure lead number 1 should be pointing to around 11 o clock, if your at the front of the car looking at the dizzy in clockwise direction no 1, 2, 7, 8, 4, 5, 6, 3

really...? i think i found my problem.. haha does make sense though.. given the firing order! just under the dizzy cap there is tiny numbers under each of the tabs from 1 - 8i in clockwork which messed me up.. so lead 1 sould be 11 o'clockish right??
