Hey Guys, I've got some simmons (finally) and I want to separate them for restoration and polishing. Problem is, the nut that goes onto the bolt to hold the 3pc together - is not your standard type! See the picture below. It is a 10 point nut and no hex can undo it as they are 12 points. Does anyone know where I can get this tool? I've tried Retro wheels - they have not responded yet. Ok I've found this website that deals in multi piece rims and tools http://www.titanium-touch.de/shop/pr...ial-tools.html (http://www.titanium-touch.de/shop/product_info.php?info=p57_3pcs-set-Special-tools.html) Looks like the simmons wheels use a 10 point Size 10 Torx for the nut side and perhaps a size 8 socket type for the wheels that have the center on the outside of the rim (not on the inside). Hopefully the 10 point socket size 10 and 8 will be what I need for the simmons wheels Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Size 10 and Size 8 do not fit..... Retro Wheels are being c.unts and not selling the tools to people. I've got a feeling its not a metric size and unique to simmons wheels only.

Still no luck.. I've tried some tool suppliers and they wouldn't know a 10 point socket if it kicked them in the c.ock lol. Looks like I'll have to source some heavy duty unbrako ny-lock nuts and bolts and re-do everything after I butcher these off with an impact gun and a hammered on single hex socket. Still on the hunt for the right tool, but I've only been able to find the size for BBS wheels (8 and 10) and the simmons looks to be a 12, 13 or 14 if it is metric, or around 1/2 inch imperial.

Yeah I've heard about this richmond tool shop - anyone know what its called/contact info etc? I've got jap pattern FR18s and holden pattern FR 17s so I want to swap the centers and restore. I've also noticed that there are 2 types of centers. Type 1 (older type) has the tyre valve in the center itself between two holding bolts, on the simmons logo spoke. Type 2 (newer type and type on FR19s etc) has a notch cut in the center for the tyre inflator tube, inbetween two spokes.

Bump! Anyone find a solution to this? There is a 10 point socket (size 12) on ebay atm. Lining up a size 12 ring spanner 'almost' fits so I'm hopeful a size 12 10 point socket might. But then, a size 13 12-point regular socket doesn't fit, so not 100% sure.
