on my hj, its got a worked 308 and im running au twin thermos on a new, standard 308 radiator. they are wired with on and off switch coz im lazy, lol, but they run continuously, flick em on when it reaches quarter to half. and it stays just above quarter stationary or thrashing. i reckon might actually run too cold, but they work really good. i had em wired differently before with temp switch but wasnt getting enough voltage and ran weaker, so its direct.. for the shroud to look good, we put it up side down and with a grinder cut the top (only from one side, when its upside down u cant see it) from memory till it was flush.. you cant go wrong, my dad has one in the 80 series with a bigblock, towing it stays half way.. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Yep, got mondeo fans on my VL. keeps it cool (1/4 even idling in traffic on 40 deg day) they fit heaps easier to.

i bought el fans for my 308 and by the time we got them in i had chopped up about %25 of the shroud it looks ugly man but there bloody got fans if i were u i would just go for a massive 16" thermo less headache and if you need more cooling put another 10" or 12" one on the front of the radiator good luck mate
