Everyone knows about that bloke that sits in the white ute just before sandown hotel. (Last week was a black ute).
Anyway, I was with a mate last night on the highway, and he had a few beers in him. As we were driving past it. I slowed down to around 70 for safe keeping and my mate put the window down and stuck the finger right at him and yelled something.
Then probably 10m infront of him he decided to flash me?
What can I get done for? As in the driver...
Should I be worried or did he just flash me to scare me?

he might get a fine for leaning out the window as my mate done the same thing as a passgenger and got a fine for being 'outside the moving vehicle'..
it's a safety thing.. like wearing a helmet on a pushbike.. not largely enforced but if your a cop having a bad day, or you get a smartarse, like your mate, then you will fine them...
that's my opinion anyway

^^LOL
Do you reckon he got your plate? depends what mood he was in i guess, if he wanted to be a prick i guess he could send you a fine in the mail if he got your plate number written down, but id be betting that won't happen, probably just flashed to scare ya.

I got called by the cops a few months ago for parking in front of one for about 10 minutes so he couldn't flash anyone, then chucking a hoop and flipping him off. Said that it was just a formal warning, but they're in the process of making it illegal to intimidate camera operators, so might get a fine or something.

They already have really: http://www.thecourier.com.au/news/lo...r/1809615.aspx (http://www.thecourier.com.au/news/local/news/general/magistrates-court-bullet-threat-for-speed-camera-operator/1809615.aspx)
They just make me angry... its not nothing to do with road safety, its just a pure cash grab... what's a letter in the mail in a 6 weeks time going to help when the stooge speeding has hit another car with a family in it 5k's up the road...
Also guys just be careful what you say in a public forum, anyone can read what you say.

17-05-10, 14:17 GMT+10#15 daz - the guy in the article daz posted was in ballarat vic and told the operator "he would look better with a bullet in his head" then spat on the window (after being flashed)
i would say that this case sets no new legal precedence, thats a threat. a finger or a beep is different. a finger is an up yours and as for a beep (in my case) its a 'ha, i see you stooge' this doesn't come anywhere near an implied threat to shoot someone.
