Welcome to the site, always good to have NZ members no matter what Commodore
You'll probably get harassed more for having a V8 than a VK
Be awesome to see some pics of your car

07-05-10, 16:50 GMT+10#13 Im pretty sure the VK Calais speedo transducer is part of the instrument cluster, as long as the speedo cable is hooked up, and the drive gear is correct you shouldnt have an issue. Id suggest a T5G over a Toyota box as the T5G was factory fit, so a lot less ****ing around.

07-05-10, 16:56 GMT+10#14 T5G or T5 is ok for stockish power. Anything over 200rwkw I wouldn't trust one

07-05-10, 17:49 GMT+10#15 well then if i turbo the vk/supercharge it (shock and awe i know) then the t5 will break on me? have a w55 lined up for not that expensive which should hopefully handle a bit more power, and once that breaks a have a w58 a mate would sell to me aswell lol, not that im planning on breaking them all, atm am just sourcing a holley to replace the whole ****ty quadrajet, but finding a vl lsd is proving a bit of a mission, contemplating locking it up, but arent going to turn it into a skid machine, even though its fun lol
