This berlina turbo is one of another CT readers finds, I bought it from him around christmas. 1987 Tuxedo Black Holden Commodore Berlina Turbo - Power Pack Option. When I got it I knew straight away that the calais look two tone asteroid silver had to go. A little investigating reveals this berlina was all black from factory (no mx grey bumpers) with pinstripe. Looks pretty classy with refurbished hubcaps and badges.

This is a photo of the two tone black/asteroid Thanks too lads Katsa for the car, SIRoller for the badges, and Steveyjay for the pinstripe roll. I can recommend these guys for accurate trading and advice on CT. Next things will be restoring the rocker cover, new berlina tail lights, GMH headlights, replacing the low suspension with factory suspension and lsd, has a locked diff atm. Wouldn't mind getting my hands on a front and rear new mub deflector package. Interior needs a little attention, I have sourced, berlina tape deck and factory wheel, but im am going to have to roll a momo wheel and a loud sound system for while. An AVO cooler could be on the cards, but i want to keep this as stock as it comes.......... dilemma?!

I used to own a genuine mono-tone Tuxedo black Calais turbo. God damn, brings back memories. Do it justice . Imho, mods like cooler, exhaust, more boost, etc are all fine just don't chop holes everywhere etc so one day should you want to return it to standard you can do so. Its pretty nuts aye? I keep flipping out when i see it, I've only ever seen one tuxedo black berlina, but it had mx bumpers. On the build plate of this one it only has the tuxedo code and no secondary colour code. When we looked at the molds you could see the black throught the chips in the resprayed asteraoid silver. I've never seen one like this. aus880 ill get some interior soon, it still looks like my daily inside, full of crap you dont know weather its comming or going! I been checking out your old tuxedo calais, Wheezy too, looks mint! Rocker cover and engine bay pics next. Just one thing this one has a cooler hole cut in it already, did these ever get put in as a factory option? Its not fully butchered, but it aint neat either?

Never ever, factory optioned with chopped holes, rofl. You could get it patched up sure enough though man.

if you ever want to sell it PM me man. i rebuilt from scratch a factory manual single tone tuxedo black SL. wasn't as nice as this one though as i took short cuts.. beautiful car mate i love it

CSL-Fly thanks for the offer, but it'll be a good 10 years before I pass her one on, its been promissed to my daughter, shes 8 and can spot a vl turbo from a mile. Have you any photos of your tuxedo sl?

No doubt we'll see some fresh paint on it. But yeah, like you said SIKVLT, bringing it it back to what its meant to be! I have seen this car before on here about 4 years ago, it has a 2pac black lightning spray job rocker cover. Who's car was this? ohhh thats so tidy. Did you respray a gloss 2 pac? Cause in that photo the paint on your sl looks like it has bit of matt paste, gives it real tough ridigy flat black look.
