Car: 87 vl calais s2 Engine: N/A converted turbo Exterior Colour: Maranello Red over astroid silver Interior Colour: Red Hey ppl Just thought id post up about my calais that im currently building. Its an original 1987 vl calais N/A that i have converted to turbo. I put a new engine and auto in it out of another vl i had which was only rebuilt around 60xxx kms ago so hopefully it should be a pretty strong engine and re-sprayed the engine bay while it was all out. I converted it to turbo with all standard parts and added a new GKTECH cooler kit to it and 3inch front pipe other then that its all pretty standard. As for the body its in the slow process of gettin a re-spray with my dad and i doing all the body work at home and getting brand new front and rear rust sections done by my mates dad then a mate who is a qualified spray painter is going to spray it for me to original colours in a proper spray booth. As for the interior its all standard red calais s2 in not to bad condition will get redone oneday but not for a long time lol. i have a set of polished calais wheels here for it which wen i put tires on them thinking bout getting them red walled just dont know wat they would look like but that wont be done till after its been sprayed. Will take some photos of it when i get time and post them up. Cheers guys
