Today was almost a wash out.
It absolutly pi-ssed down rain all morning and I really didn't think that the day would go ahead. They started drying off the track at 1:30 and started racing at 2:15ish so the day was basiclly over before it began.
The quickest and fastest car of the day was Maatouks VLBOSS which reeled of a very strong 8.65 @ 157mph. Team Karam's vl ran as fast as 9.1 @153ish mph.
Rajabs IGNITE was also impressive to watch running consistent low 9 second passes, 9.08 @ 154ish mph being it's fastest pass.
QLD's SHERIF was another one of my favourites to watch. It also reeled off consistent low 9 second passes with early shut off's. I think the fastest it went was 9.2ish @ 155mph.
Well done to all the interstate cars that made the trip and put on a good show!
If the weather is good tomorrow I think we will see lots of 8 second passes.
Good luck to all the drivers racing tomorrow!!

Im very sure I heard 9.2ish but either way the car was moving very quick down the track and If the weather is good today I think you'll definenty see a hand full of 8 second passes out of it. 155mph is very much so in the ball park, spewing I wont be there today

X2
Oh yeah Bolt King and the Capalaba boys sure know there stuff. Did a full wiring job on another VL drag car while i was working up there...it will be pretty good too. The owner accepts nothing but perfection so it will be superbly engineered. Not sure whether it wears a GT45 or 47...but it runs a Liberty clutchless 5 speed...and both are brand new items.
