Start off with the story behind my car so it makes this more intresting.. My uncle was a solo mechanic to a local elderly woman who had bought the car new and she put the car in for a service to my uncle as there were alternator problems.. when she go the car back the new alternator wa faulty and my uncle got it tested by the company but it did not show up with any problems. The service cost as this point with a few other replacments was $600, she then decided she did not want to spend more money on trying to find the problem and was happy to sell the car and move on. She told me uncle she would take the car to the wreckers and then use the money from that to take offf the bill she had to pay him. He decided at this point to call me and see if i was intrested in buying her car for the $600 cost of the service. Next day i was driving it round (just had got my licence so i was stoked) yet the alternator problem was still unfixed and the car was stopping randomly maybe 1-2 times a week. My uncle went over the car and tested a few other componants he thought was wrong with the car and ended up getting the alternator replaced under warranty and the car was ready to go. The lady was really nice and supplied everything for the car including manuals and everything from when she first bought it, along with my uncle providing me with the complete car history from when she first bought it new. Sorry about the length of that if you wernt intrested :s Make / Model: Vl commodore Berlina 1987 Colour: White Engine Type: RB20ET (i think) Engine Mods: none yet Suspension: Just purchased super low King springs from ebay Wheels/Tyres: 06 18" vy gts rims Stereo: Kenwood headdeck and 6" upfront, 2 Schneider 6x9's on the back shelfpowered by a shneider amp and 12" sub. Other Mods: none as of yet Future mods: p plate restrictions are quite restraining to any major mods like a turbo aswell as getting the money together. Id love to get a manual conversion aswell and getting a complete exhaust system for the car along with painting the skirtings on the car silver rather than a dark grey. Problems: After 1 year of owning the car (being in europe for alot of that) i have not been driving it much but in the last 2 months i had to replace the starter motor aswell as the water pump. The car now runs quite nicely. I've never really done much in terms of modifiying a car before so any feedback and critism is welcome along with ideas/suggestions. Hope you guys like my car. Day i purchased it: First day at home (rear): Recent photo with rims on it: side shot: Tomorow ill get some interior, boot and engine photos. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Hey man. you got a nice basis to work with. To edit you post at the bottom of it, it should say 'EDIT' , click that and fire away If i was you, this is what i'd do to the car: Lower it, which you said you are about to do. 2.5" exhaust, extractors, with dumpy tip Get rid of the mud flaps Get the speakers either in the parcel shelf or get rid of those ugly boxes. Tint the windows about 20%

haha dude you think alot like me. Thats almost everything im doing or saving to get done. Lowering it will not be long off but now that i have rims i wont need to lower it as much, how far do you hink it is needed to be lowered? Exhaust is what i really want but while i had the money i was hesitand because my uncle said autos with exhaust sounds pretty annoying. Cant say thats stopping me id still love one. Mud flaps are all gone now. Looking to find a guide or some ideas on a parcel shelf as they look hideous in box's but im not to crafty so ill see how it goes. Tint is another thing id love, not sure how much it costs though. Any reccomendations for places? Im about to upload a few more photos for you guys anyhow.

Lower it as much as you can. Ive got ultra low king springs in mine, you may need to get your guards rolled however I have a full 2.5" exhust and extractors for sale if your keen. all n/a's sound a bit droney but id rather droney over quietness anyday PM obsesv off the website as he is a window tinter by trade and could do it for you

getting the gaurds rolled may be to much of a hassle in the end but id like to lower it enough to look good without being defecable. Just fixed up some rust under the rubber seal in the boot.
