Well i'm John. I've been a keen looker on this site for a while so i thought i might as well post up mine. Its a gold 1988 VL sl. I've always been fond of VL's since early high school so i decided to buy one for my first car. I brought it as a stock rocker, pretty much stock as they come. I paid a little extra because it's only got 5**** k on the odometer, and all service history from the pervious owner, an old fella who rarely drove it. I brought it with the intention of using it as a daily driver but decided i might as well do acouple of things to it. I haven't done alot to it in the time that i've had it, but i plan to just the basics while im on the P's. Be aware im still on my L's. Would like opinions on everyone thinks. Thanks. Make / Model: 1988 Vl Sl Colour: Gold over MX grey Bodykit: Engine Type: n/a rb30 Engine Mods: none for the moment Power: none Exhaust: pacemaker headers with 2.5 catback to 3" dump tip Gearbox: standard auto Diff: standard Brakes: standard Suspension: standard Wheels/Tyres: 15" inceptors Interior: beige Stereo: - pioneer headunit - pretty average mp3 cd - alpine type r 6.5 in the front doors - apline type r 6x9 on the parcel shelf - apline v12 amp and a audio line amp - 2 12" apline type s in kicker ported box Future mods: Unfortunately it was damaged in the hail storm, and now has tiny dints over the bonnet, roof and boot, but luckily my insurance is covering it all so thats the next on my list. Paint ceptors black, keep chrome trims and center caps with portawalls. White venetians on the back n quarters. A 5" tacho - the dash has the analog clock instead. Springs and shocks. Maybe further down the track, turbo conversion or put in a 355. A bobble head dog for the dash Thats all i can think of at the moment but acouple more things. http://img413.imageshack.us/i/dsc0023r.jpg/ http://img542.imageshack.us/i/dsc0251.jpg/ http://img412.imageshack.us/i/dsc0086m.jpg/ http://img42.imageshack.us/i/dsc0252y.jpg/ Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

edit - tried to post up your pics for you but they were 5 times the size of the page!! i'd keep the ceptors silver or atleast fit them with hubcaps if you are going whitewalls. otherwise sounds like good plans and a very tidy looking car congrats. (neat number plates too btw.)

Cheers dude, silver ceptors are good from far but far from good - defs need a respray soon. Love that berlina too mate, looks wild. ---------- Post added 05-08-11 at 18:46 ---------- Havent updated this thread in yonks. Not really much to report but here goes ! Ended up throwing a factory vlt lsd, disc to disc in. Snapped up a set of venetians for the back, havent got around to finding a set for the quarters but that'll come eventually. Finally got off my ass and got the manual conversion going, so theres now an mx7 box in there aswell. Car hasnt come a long way yet, but with the exhaust, lsd, 5spd and the stereo. Its a wicked fun car to drive around. Tell me what you reckon guys ! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
