hey guys i picked up my new car last night and it has a Soundstream DVD head unit in it. first of all i didnt install it so it's not my fault... When i turn the head unit on, it starts making all these weird loud noises kind of like a sub pulsing and making that scratchy/popping sound, but once the CD has loaded it is fine over level 10 volume... Im familiar with stereo setups and ive done all my previous strereos in my cars. but this is the first DVD screen ive owned so i have no idea about them.. it was suggested to me that it MIGHT be a ground problem, and thats what it does sound like, but what i want to know is, is there a ground wire directly from the DVD head unit? and does anyone have any suggestions as to what it might be if its not ground/earth? im pretty good with stereos (just not dvds) so let me know anything and ill check it out 2nite.
