Society is a bunch c nt s these days anyway but the reason you didnt get an answer is because its a stupid question, how do you work the deck if you detach the face plate? Just get a stereo with a remote and blue tack it where ever you want it.

how can it be a stupid question when i have seen it been done in extreme holdens? it didnt have a description of how the person did it, but it did show the head deck and faceplate seperated in his interior/glove box,
thought it would be nice to get some help from others that may know how to do it but it seems that only ppl on ct are c u nts!!!
thanks fellas
please close thread mods!

Some c u nt help this guy. lol.
it can be done, you need ribbon cable similar to what is used in your computer. you mount the deck in desired location and run the ribbon cable from the terminals of the deck to the location in which you would like to mount the faceplate and attach.
Its a little fiddly to setup and there are a couple differnt ways you can do it, all depending on the headunit design.

There you go, we are not a pack of c n ts, Jim Richards did once call a crowd of race fans at Bathurst a 'pack of arseholes'.

lol why dont you just mount the whole deck into the glove box and shave wheres its supposed to be. or mount it somewhere else it would actually be pretty easy

What would you do with the stereo hole? Apparently there was blanks for early VC/VH that didnt have radios, cant say I have ever seen one, rare fact?
