so far ive only done a few things to it. i pulled the subs out cos the box was so big there was no room for a spare tyre and the battery was just being held in by the sub box and side of the boot.
old boot
so now the subs are out, the battery is held down and im making a false floor out of wood and tidying up the boot so you cant see the fuel pump.
so the engine is putting out a decent amount of power at the moment but my plan is to dress it up a bit. like hide the wires and put all shiny bits and pieces on. as you can see it doesnt look very flash at the moment.
i took the rocker cover of a couple of days ago and im planning on painting it white. but there are plenty more things that need doing up in there lol
and as for the interior it has these blue seats that i dont know what there out of. dont have any pics as yet but ill add some later. but i want to re trim the seats soon to some posh leather and im currently getting an autometer dash made so that should look pretty cool.
but yeah thats my vl so let me know what you reckon

on the weekend i finally got stuck into the boot. the subs have been out for a few months and i needed to secure the battrery down properly as well. so while i was at it i made a false floor and front wall for the boot out of wood and carpeted them. here are a few photos of what i did.
this is what the boot looked like without the giant sub box in there
then we made up a bracket out of stainless steel, bolted that up in the boot, then mesured and cut out a bit of board, then bolted it to the stainless.
then cut another bit of wood for the floor and carpeted both bits of wood.
and this is what the final product looks like.

last night i took off the rear garnish and put a new calais one on.
the old garnish with the old number plates on
the new one looks wayy better

hey man. i was speaking to daniel about this yesterday.
it looks good on the new rims.
as soon as the bay is tidied up it should look a treat. as you said, tidy up the wiring. change intecooler pipe to polished stuff, turbo beanie or polished housing then tidy up as much more of it as u can.
throw up some pics of the interior. i dont remember what it looked like when he had it
time for some updates boys. i finally had the old girl all back together on sunday and took her out for a drive. ive got a few pics of the 95% finished engine bay (only thing left is to put the fusebox in the glovebox) keep in mind basically all work including metal fab (excluding making the plenum) was done in house by myself and my dad.

today the VL went down to a mates local workshop to get the gearbox and tailshaft taken out. another set of uni joints are going in and a CV joint and possible a new centre bearing as well. the r33 5 speed is getting a new thrust bearing and then hopefully it all should be ready to be dyno tuned!! fingers crossed
