either bench vice, or a large soldering iron.
or take it to your local auto elec, ask them to do it for you. you need specialize crimpers to do it correctly.

I crimp them and also add a bit of solder just for the safety of it.

agree
a bench vise or something that will really crush it is the way if u dont have the tool and just get abit of large heat shrink to put over the end to cover eny exposed wires , because most of the time it will push abit of wire out the back when u crush it

25-03-10, 12:46 GMT+10#10 get a proper car audio thing so it will have an allen key to secure the wire in the doodak. excuse the technical terms.
may cost more but will give less resistance in the system and look better.

25-03-10, 13:30 GMT+10#12 Find an electrician mate and steal his lugs and crimpers
WTF is 0 gauge anyway... what is it in mm2? From my dirty memory its 52mm2 or 8ish mm diameter? Good for 190amps...

25-03-10, 13:31 GMT+10#13 Is that 0 gauge wire it looks so small. I could crimp that with the weight of my balls.
0 B&S is around 50mm2, 00 is 65mm2, I used 0 B&S for battery cable the **** is like 10mm thick.
I brought some manual crimpers off ebay, they come with a lifetime warranty & were like 80 delivered. They work upto 50mm2 cable, great to use.
