Cheers for that info Kane, ive called a few companys today, and from what i gather the rough price is between $300-$400 and they are all mobile on site services. So thats ok, only thing is they dont etch prime it which is fine because my mates a painter and can put it in etch primer the same day. Its hard to decide weather to sand blast it bead blast it soda blast it. Ive heard positive and negatives from all 3. Im keen on this one company so i'll have a chat to them about the pro's and con's. Oh and for those that are looking for someone i have a list of names and numbers im more than happy to pass on. Soda is exceptionally good, but you must use a mild acid (vinegar) to clean the panel before you etch prime it. If you Soda and etch prime without the vinegar cleaning (the guy might not do this step?) then you will have sealed some of the soda in the primer and it will not look as good. Soda blasting was all the rage at Sema 09. Many companies offering good deals for their machines and so forth. The best thing about soda blasting compared to sand and other media blasting is that it cannot heat up the panel to warp it, and it does not work harden the steel (ie like shot peening) as the grains are very very fine.
