over the past few months i havent done alot to it...as the interior is in mint condition, the panels are straight bar the rear passenger side quater, where some asian guy hit it, the previous owner told me, and im left to clean it all up and make it nice again...funny story revolves from the purchase, i was doing up a vk to run the same driveline...i listed that on ebay and found the vq on ebay aswell...so the price i sold the vk for was the price i picked up the vq for...wait for it...$400...complete...without motor and box
ill upload a pic for now but add more later

30-03-10, 11:35 GMT+10#13 Personally, I'd be starting with bigger injectors (maybe GTR 444cc) and Niztune, just because you're going to need a bit more to get the boat moving. But you've got taller diff gears and hi flow, so that might be ok.

18-04-10, 21:25 GMT+10#14 hey guys...got some updates...MOTOR IS BACK IN =) after spending the entity of saturday afternoon installing fresh gaskets and tightening all major bolts to torque specs...i married the engine and box and have them inserted...also gave the stato a quick wash...so im chasing a vl engine loom and battery loom to kick it in the guts...
gearbox crossmember bolted in with no worries at all...the holes are perfectly lined up...where as on the vk i used to own...i would have to have a custom crossmember...and who cbf doing that haha
tailshafts are a completly different length...so i have to split them and make one out of the 2...hopefully i can do it and get away without the need to get it balanced...lol
pics are up too...
hmm...relatively happy stato arent u?
oh...wait...thats not a 5ltr...lol
tailshaft differences...shorter is from a vl...larger is obviously from the stato
and just coz i can...i love the chrome strips in the pic
and this pic...coz i can...these badges will have to come off...might stick them on my fridge haha
tell me what u think

23-04-10, 10:47 GMT+10#18 would be cool to have something like this if it went hard enough. it would be alot more comfy to drive around than a vl. good stuff
