Hey guys my mum has a vs statesman v8 with a stock exhaust and for the last couple of weeks this stuff has been coming out it looks like a wig or somthing i thought maybe somone was playing jokes shoving stuff up there but its still coming out anybody have anyclues? thanks pics below. This is how it was this morning And this is what i pulled out Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

What you will find day after day is that it becomes more metalic to answer your question - its coming from your cat or at least thats my understanding the "filter" so to say has lost its structure and is being pushed through ur exhaust.... recomened take off the cat either gut it cause u already have a 5 litre or replace and get the exhaust looked at so it doesnt get block up... and no a no ones playing a trick on u Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

lol thats a wig mate. a cat converter is made up of a honeycomb like structure that is very solid and brittle ie. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

ok then just wanted to know what it was im not experienced with exhausts i had a genuine concern so thanks to the people who helped me

nuh no probs its pretty weird it just comes out in clumps must look funny driving down the road or on the freeway lol i was just thinkin wtf is goin on i might pull the muffler off and have a look inside thanks guys had car the car 10+ years

burn it and smell it... Could be fibreglass packing out of the muffler
