A friend of mine has a Ve omega and wants to put a sub and mono block in with the standard head unit and speakers. he has bought a wiring kit and sum kind of transformer that was needed. just curious where abouts the transformer has to be connected to and does the standard head unit have rca outlets on it?

no the head unit more than likely dosent have rca outputs... by tranformer you must mean a speaker to rca convertor.
you will need to get to the rear of the standard head unit or find the harness running from it... then if only running a mono and sub with it, you need to find the rear speaker wires from the head unit (in that loom)
then bare them back (dont cut them) and join the convertor to it, the wiring diagram that comes with the convertor should tell you left rear right rear positive negitve etc....
then run your two rcas to the mono block, power wire blah blah and your away... you will need to find an accessory wire in that loom to and run a wire from this to the remote on the amp to switch it on, allthough this means it will be on constantly when the car is, so would be even better to mount a toggle switch on the dash wherever and use this to switch the amp on and off.
this will give you some sort of sub control also by fading the head unit front to rear.
hope that helps

Hey buddy,
Here is all the info you need. plus a lot more if you decide to add a few other toys later on
http://www.universalfuze.com/uploads...ation_Help.pdf (http://www.universalfuze.com/uploads/VE_REV-01__VIM-01_Installation_Help.pdf)
just remember, if you decide to amplify the internal speakers later on, you have to go back to the loom and chop them!, if you feed an amp output back into the plug, you will smoke up the whole unit. = Big $$
have fun.
