Check out the sticky in this section, a lot of the job would be the same as a VL

Hi I'm doing the same thing to my SLE but I had a 202 in it originally. It's easier to drop an efi in the VL than it is for a VH because the VL is already set up for efi. i.e Fuel tank and lines You'll have to either modify the original tank or install a VL tank with return fuel return lines. The 304 engine mounts will bolt up to the VH K Frame (doesn't matter if you have a 6 or 8 both frames are the same) and the engine should sit in without any other modification needed. The original extractors should also fit. If your friend is looking to install after market extractors, he needs to either buy a set to suit the conversion (I have a set of CAE headers) or install a VL steering rack. I'm pretty sure the tail shaft will need to be changed too to suit the T700 box. Wiring is the tricky bit I think. it's easier if you have a VN-VP engine and box, especially if you have a donor car with all the wiring. I'm using a VR SS engine and box which is a little trickier but there are some wiring kits available for the conversion or you can take it to an auto electrician. Let us know how your mate goes with the conversion.

your vh k frame will work the only thing is if you want power steer you will can use a vn v6 rack but you will have to cut off the rack mounts and re weld them on to suit the hole centres. this way you can put your rack where ever you want it.the knuckle on my vl fitted straight onto the v6 rack. i also used a set of vr v8 pacemakers and they fitted fine.253 ones wont fit . i used a vh k frame in my vl because it was a hell of a lot cheaper and easier than trying to source a later model v8 one. as for the wiring cant help ya cos my brother is a auto sparky and he sorts that stuff out. lol
