i know you will have to get a different manifold as the 304 will have the vn heads which are diff to the 308 ones in your vl presently.Im sure they fit but im not 100% sure

engine will fit straight in, but u will still need the computer if u run the turbo transmission, the trimatic gearbox will not fit out of ur vl unless u get the block drilled to suit a trimatic(which i would recommend) makes things easier as you dont have to change speedo cables and other stuff reklated to the transmission.you will have to get a different manifold to suit the injected heads if u wanted to put the carby back on. if i were you i would leave it with the injecton setup, way more responsive and efficent on a stock engine. harrop makes these mainfold`s to suit the injected heads with carby setup.
