Hi, you guys might flame me for asking this, but what's that spool-like sound in an N/A VL. My bro's car has been making that noise since he bought it years and years ago. The engine's been rebuilt by a mechanic and he added some extra mods to it. This spool-like/whine sound is faint when you accelerate, is it just some factory item making the noise or something else?

Something else Id say... could be a range of things however I doubt many of them are good.
Could have a leaky exhaust, low on p/s fluid, gearbox ready to die or ne of those gay 'turbo' exhaust tips

Yeah more like a whine sound I guess, but its a little faint haha. You can hear it when you accelerate from idle or a low speed

noisy lifters maybe lol i dunno, happends to my calais in idle
