Hey Guys Dont know if the cars not getting enough power or its just the amp shorting out.. Currently system sits at 2 6x9s Running of one amp 2 4' running off the headunit and the 2 12's Subs running a mono block amp hidden behind the custom boot ( in confined space, but does have breathing space) The Subs cut in and out more out then acually in i thought maybe a loose wire check everything and it was fine.. I have blown 3 fuses in the last 2 days from the mono block I really just dont know... EVERYTHING ELSE works fine just the subs - if it helps i do watch the power light on the amp and it does dim whilst a "bassy" part of the song would come in- Car audio isnt my area so please help out thanks

First ensure you have large enough cable for your earths, should be the same size as the power cable and have a clean mount free of paint etc and good solid contact... If thats not the problem, then... What are the subs rated at? Whats your amp rated at? How are they wired?

Subs are at 1000w each so 2000w can't remeber what the Amps at but has been going for some time Now so but I do rmeber the earth wire being a tad thin on wire but is the same gauge as my power so

steve wats doing mate bro check all earth if the amp had blown anything internally it wouldnt work at all and it will make a burnt smell inside the amp there must be a lose connection somewere or the amp is shorting out some were two wires are touching if the amp was ***d it wouldnt work at all and if the earth was **** it wouldnt turn on at all so make sure all wires are away from each other

What gauge power cable are you running? Make sure earths are clean. Also what ohm are you subs & ohm does your amp run? If the green light was turning to red that means protection mode. If the green light is fading usually means not enough power.

yeah sounds like protection mode is kickn in and out. either amp isnt supplying enough wats for the subs, or like the other boys have said, bad earth conection .

It sounds like the protection mode is kicking in. If it's to hot to touch you must be placing allot of load on the amp. Check your sub and amp ohm. Placing a 4ohm sub on a 8ohm amp will make it overheat. (ie. work harder)
