From what i can gather calder park will be open tomra night for the off street drags. on the website it makes mention that a limit of 250 cars will be let in, and gates open at 5-8 racing from 8 so whats the go get there at 5 so you have a chance or take your time arviving at say 6.30-7.00 does it fill up? what do you do during 5-8 sit in the car? having never been or had anything do to with calder park whats it all like, what should i bring with me, other then my car? might be pretty **** boring thread but dont no where else to ask. any input would be great thanks.

The last one opened an hour early (4pm) and was full by the announced opening time of 5pm! I'd suggest getting there real early. Before racing will be scruitineering. If you dont know what to bring, make sure you read calder parks rules. Helmet, long sleeves, closed shoes etc. As long as following the scruitineering rules or your car wont get let in.

no where near as packed as last time. Still an ok turnout tho, 25 bucks to spectate is a bit steep but...

was it a small turnout? I wanted to go and race - but didnt feel like getting ready for 3 hrs and hauling ass to get there to get knocked back. Maybe the next meet ill be there when the buzz dies down - I just want as many runs as I can get! How much is it to race?

It was a small turnout filled with VY's and BA's. Thank god for the comp cars otherwise would have been worse. I'm pretty sure its around $65 to race.

Agreed.... $25 to spectate without any seating is fuc.ked. $65 to race is good tho... maybe they are trying to cash in on the spectators as they are cheaper to run than the cars. Generally bring about 1-3 people when you race so they make more money on spectators than racers.
