Im a p plater but cos of the laws cant drive an 8. wanted to know what would be needed to do to convert a manual 5 litre to a v6 ecotec with the same gearbox? is it possible?

cant be done not with the same gearbox i dont think.. might have to engineer the thing aswell!

wont need an engineers as your not adding any more power to the car and that model came with a V6. However you will be severely slashing the worth of your car by doing so and the whole conversion will cost you more than the car is worth. Sell it and buy a v6.

but he has a calais with the 6 in it.. i think he wants the 5ltr in the VS.. so confused right now lol.

it wouldnt be worth it, u have to change kframes and s*it plus change it at vicroads cause police would do rego checks and it would cum up as an v8

I'm currently looking to buy I got a vs Calais 6 but wanting a manualI found a vs manual but can't drive it cause of laws not sure what gearbox and it's a vs ecotec I wanna put in. I was hoping to put the 5ltr back in after my p's but if it's gonna cost an arm and a leg and be a massive hassle I'll keep shopping around

dont bother bro, your wasting your money. Just drive a standard V6 on your P's and then put an LS1 in it if you want it to move and sound good
