Between 12pm-12:30pm my 1995 Holden VS Berlina (while parked outside where I work), got broken into. They attempted to break the windscreen but instead left a huge crack in it, so they smashed the front passenger window (after I just got it tinted), and broke the locked glovebox door and stole my GPS, and the bracket (which was on the windscreen, and I had the charger cable running behind the dash so it just snapped. Car was parked in Yarraville (Western Suburbs) in Barnett Street. Rego on car is GMHVS-0 (with red P-Plate next to the rear number plate. Total cost to repair windows was $800 including getting the passenger window tinted. I am abit concerned that it might get broken into again, because they may have seen the headunit, DVD headrests, etc. I have spent heaps of money on this car, and I am lucky that it wasn't stolen. Also, yesterday, the same people who fixed my windows, one of them came to work to fit a new windscreen to a car because it was unroadworthy, and while his Van was parked just outside, someone came in and asked for a spark plug, then once he left, went up to the van and stole his GPS as well. Maybe the same Guy. If anyone knows of anyone breaking into vehicles in the Yarraville, Seddon, Footscray, Williamstown area, please let me know.

these get stolen all the time. latest hot item always remove brackets and clean off suction cap marks and take the GPS with you they would have used the sparkplug to get into the car

Yeah they would have used the spark plug to get into the van but with my car, there was half a brick next to the door so thats what they would have used. I have learn't my lesson, now I don't have the GPS in the car unless I need to use it. Ill put up pictures of my VS Berlina soon when I can so you can see the work I done to it so far, its pretty much finished, now im consentrating on my new project (2001 Holden WH Statesman Series 2).
