there isnt really any thing to build up on it as such the celica hadnt been raced for 4 years when they bought it and it had done more passes then most sport compact cars put together so it was in need of TLC, the scion had been raced on 12 months prior to coming to australia for titan to race so it only needed a motor and trans, all the other stuff was still in it and the body was it great condition. TCR has painted it, great paint job but im not a fan of the colour. ive been talking with gary white and he is booked to come drive a car at compak attak. he and his sont brett who tunes were hoping to run a 6.30 as they have the data to do it on a 10.5 with the right gearing and a race head, not the crappy standard port head they had on it at jambo

it was something like 200lbs under weight at jambo i think.. the car went like an animal though and they had issues distributing the extra weight plates they had to put in the car to get it race fit. i like the car, more sleek looking than the celica.. i think i just like the fact its still on the 10.5 tyre more though!

It was legal weight at Jambo. They put a bunch of weight in but they raced at legal weight.

I know this is not much of a contribution, but to me, this looks real mean.

Well, it is second hand information, but my customer is an older and very respected gentleman that I wouldn't expect to speak sh1t, and he told me the scion is now owned by a guy living in or moving to QLD. My customer is having a very serious engine built at gas atm. Would be interesting to know the truth in the rumour, does anyone know for sure? As far as the weight of the car goes, my understanding of the rules was that you could compete underweight, with no penalty, but no national records for mph or time would stand?? If so, who cares about written records?? Everyone just wants to see that 6.30 I don't really like the shape of the scion, looks good in those photo's but ugly in person imo. The celica is my second fav sport compact shape behind the Q35 infinity, the only one in the world is Scotty's VQ35 one that was the original vanishing point car built for sub zero, thats a mean looking body shape. 6BOOST Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

im with 6 boost im not a great fan of the scion but its reputation makes up for it, but the infinity rocks!! i cant wait to see it out there and soon as wetlock goes to a v style motor i personaly think these guys could be looking at 5's and the people to beat!, for eg look what vince rigoli runs with an old style eco tech v6! i cant belive the gas celica sat there for 4 years not used !! imagin if gas had the car for those extra 4 years surly we would be watching 5 second turbo 6 passes!! big call i no pro turbo/fx is only going to get more and more exciting i personaly cant wait till im in a position to own a yank chassis with a v series nissan motor...im not interested in this billet head/block crap just oem blocks and heads and what ever you can stuff in them and hang off them! 220mph out of rayglass CANT WAIT to see that thing get down the track and use the power it has...this stuff excited me big time!!

I stood in the workshop at Gas when they were corner weighting the car and making minimum was only a problem until they found spots to bolt the lead to. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
