Hi guys, I took my car which is dual fuel to this bloke for a lpg service, it was running fine except it wouldn't startup on gas on a cold startup most of the time, so that was the idea of getting the lpg serviced.
Next morning it backfired after the first startup, never had backfired since installation of the lpg 2 years ago. and it keep on back firing on startup even when it was hot.
Told the guy what was happening but he reckons he couldn't do nothing for a few days , but not long after my car backfired quite a few times badly whilst driving it which made the car stall, I had a look under the bonnet & that big rubber hose that goes from the air filter to the mixer had blown back a couple of inches and i had a look inside and the plastic thing was broken, so I taped it back on and switched back to petrol and drove it home.
Told the guy what happened and he's trying to get the part but said most gas places were closed over xmas, so i am still waiting to get my car right again.
So do you think I should have to pay for that part or should he, because it has never backfired before that service.
sorry for the long post, but trying to explain properly.
