Good job kyle, when's driveline meant to chosen for it?
looks tuff... would be cool to see a VG35 in it.
Is that a Corolla in the background got any specs on it?

Appears to be a 2door ke70, Which im pretty sure my mates mate built it with his dad and sold it interstate, he was telling me they built the only 2door in aus.

Thanks Ank.
The car will be here in 10-12 weeks, it'll take 3-4 weeks just to get the import approval and for my bead locks to get made by weld as they'll be coming in the container. I was originally told the car was built by vanishing point racecars which was a big incentive in buying it, but have since found out it wasn't, so hopefully the workmanship is still ok as I'm a pretty fussed kind of guy.
The engine going in the car is already decided, I just don't want to give the whole game away, suffice to say it'll well and truly have the potential and power to run 6's, it'll just take a while (or possibly quite a while) to get a handle on driving LHD, setting up the clutch, and tuning the 4 link and shocks to all work together.
There is plenty left to do on it as I'll have to build a full floater for it and redo the trans tunnel and firewall, do all the pedals with inboard master cylinders and change the front struts, but my goal for this year is to have it on the track at Jamboree 2010, so we'll see how we go

PS that photo was taken in his workshop, which is in CT usa, and the car in the background is also obviously in the USA, where there were many 2 door KE70's. I've never asked him about it, odd really when I have a 9 sec KE70 myself lol. And if anyone knows someone looking for a good project to finish off here is my almost finished RX7 roller built for Ozmod/st289, 4 link, wishbone, swaybar, 14 point cage, strange double adjustables, steering rack conversion, etc etc etc, all top notch fab work finished, just needs chute and dash and paint

It didn't cross your mind that a TB48 destroked to 4 litre would have statospheric rpm potential and meet the class capacity now did you
