this is my 19th car and my 9th vl its an 88 calais vl (333 package) i got it as a rolling shell a few weeks ago with the interior pulled appart and thrown in the cabin. i purchased another vl v8 for the drive line for $1400 and swaped everything over in a weekend after cleaning it up a bit. after a few teething issues caused by the previous owner thinking he knew more about wiring than he realy did, i finaly got the v8 going in the calais. Iv spent the last month or so collecting all the little parts the car is missing such as badges and also trying to find the energy to replace the completely ****ed strut tops im still having problems with the tranny shifting ( gave it a thrashing the day after i got it) aswell as wiring issues but once i find some time off work il get it all sorted and after the trimatic it currently has dies il throw in the spare i have for it. Make/Model: 1988 vl calais v8 Engine:308 black motor Trans: trimatic 3spd Diff: 28 spline lsd disk to disk Brakes: slotted rotors up front with bendix ultimate pads all around Wheels: xhp boost chrome 18s or polished vl calais rims Suspension: dumped, nolathane bushes all over, k-mac adjustable strut tops Interior: immaculate grey Calais s2 Colour: mulberry over champagne Stereo: alpine deck, ipod, jvc 4s up front, clarion 6x9s down the back Power: unknown Mods: yella terra heads possible internal work Exhaust: standard with gay 5 pipe from diff back ( not my choice) What does the future hold for this bad boy? Upgrade all the brakes to vt twin spot items with slotted rotors. Slowly collect parts for a blown ls1 conversion, get the engine bay resprayed and smothed. cheers Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
