This is my genuine 88 Calais turbo project. One of my many cars but i am putting all my money into this one for now. I got it as a rolling shell it did have a 355 stroker motor out of a VN in it, but the bloke i got it off kept it for his VS clubby. All the engine bay wire is hidden behind the guards and the bay has been smothed, but still more work needs to be done. The battery will be put in the boot. The fuse box has been relocated under the dash.I am also converting it to a manual.I have a rebuilt LSD to put in it.The motor i am putting in came out of my green Berlina that i have stripped and scraped. The only bad thing about this motor is that it is a series 1 block. I will be swapping blocks over to a A8 motor that needs a rebuild that i also have in my shed. The specs of the motor is as follows. Series 1 block with a turbo return oil line in the sump and turbo feed from the oil sender.ACL pistons, three layer head gaskit, new inlet and exhaust valves,ARP head stud kit,Wade cam,Romac cam gear,VL turbo inlet runners with a custom forward faceing plenum, top gun 10mm plug leads, new coil, XF TB,GTR injectors, adjustable fuel reg,Walbro 600hp fuel pump,Turbosmart megasonic bov,3'' intercooler pipeing,Hybrid fmic,Monsta high mount turbo manifold with exhaust wrap,Monsta t70 turbo with external wastegate 3''dump pipe full 3'' exhaust with cat removed.Microtech LT10s computer. The box i am using is a MX7,but my flyweel is a 9.5.I am looking for a 10 for it.The 9.5 flyweel has a Valeo 5 puk heavy duty clutch on it. I am in the prosess of fitting it all together. here is some pics. Here is the motor when it was in my Berlina. This was the car the motor was in. And pulling the motor out. I will give you guys updates as it comes along. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
