Hey guys just starting to look for some front discs for the wag but there seem to be alot of different types and sizes etc ... Was just looking to replace my front vlt ones while still keeping the factory turbo brakes So question is what the hell do I go for ? slotted, curved, solid and what price is good ? Cheers Mike

If you're keeping the turbo calipers, I'm not sure that you actually replace the disks with ones of a bigger size, but slotted rotors are a good idea. The slots help disperse the heat and gas that build up under braking. Standard VL brakes are sh1t, so any upgrade is good. Make sure you invest in some decent pads at the same time too. Stay away from drilled rotors, they have a tendancy to crack. I could be wrong, but I thought Vl disks were vented, not solid, so you shouldn't replace them with solid ones - I can't remember though, I binned them a long time ago. Brent should be able to recommend some good pads. As for the rotors...make friends with someone at Repco or Supercheap and get them on the cheap...

Decent pads and fluid makes a massive difference, no need for slotted or drilled on a street car but they do look cool Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

The good thing with brakes you can do a bit at a time to see if you are happy,Pads Fuild,Then hoses and Disc's.Then booster etc. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Yeah I'd pay the extra for the looks too, but I doubt they would give any performace upgrade over standard disks on a road car
