here is how you tell if its a VLT or VL Transmission. you can see here a lock up solanoide on the bell housing where the converter would sit. That makes it a non turbo box. here you can see it is missing. making it a turbo box Bit thanks goes out to my photo models, had a big long day shooting but they did a good job! lucky i had them in my garage.. Thanks, Matt Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

would you know, with a vlt automatic transmission, does the tranny computer need to be a turbo computer or will a non turbo one work?

Or, you could just look at the numbers on the tag on the right side. X8080 is the MS1 turbo box. X8079 is the ML4 n/a box. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Just curious, and might be slightly off topic, but what are the differences between the two, besides the solenoids as mentioned earlier?? Any internal differences??

Yeah i figured that much, just wanted to know exactly, incase its just a case of get the N/A one built to suit and all will be well, or if its not worth doing and just look for a turbo one, and get that built. Cheers.
