hi guys, my cuzzins decided to build a vl turbo motor from scratch bottom end to top with all the right parts such as plenum, exhaust manifold, dump pipe etc etc, the bottom end will be getting built real strong with forge pistons, bigger internals, bigger injectors etc now the thing is he needs to no what cam shaft he may be decided to get that will suit the motor that he will be getting built. he wants to get some head work done to the motor with a nice lumpy cam nothing overboard just a nice note to it with that extra grunt like an idling v8 lmao. the turbo he will be running is a t04 garret turbo with the standerd vl turbo ecu (auto). im not sure weather he may have to switch to a different ecu or can keep the standerd ecu that might be fine to run what ever cam that will suit the motor, ecu, gearbox etc etc. he was looking at either a WADE cam or the JPC tx2 crow cam if anyone knows or has a rough idea that he can possibly go about it let me no. cheerz guys Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Whats the point of building a motor with forgies, plenum, bigger injectors, T04 and than buying a cam to suit a standard ECU ?? Just do it once and do it right the first time:: Aftermarket ECU, big cam, 20psi + tune... end of story

thats what his planning on doing but he wasnt to sure on the cam specs etc..., his getting everything built strong bottom end wise, bigger injectors etc etc and wants a nice tone to the motor but wasnt sure on the ecu weather he could still run the standerd vl turbo computer or diff comp all together. thought i would be worth to ask since he wasnt to sure....

standard ecu is very limited and again wont run the setup you explained , just look into an aftermarket ecu theres plenty out there to choose from
