defect!

hey guys recently got a vic defect and the one of the things required to fix was "affix number plate to correct location" has anyone else been done for this? what a load of **** i think! my nans tarago van has it on the side? my mates xh ute has it on the side at the back? then he told me that it was a $ 290 fine of putting in on the side! so every one with there number plate not in the middle look out! !

it needs to be square with the front of the car.. Thats why cars with stock sidemounted plates (only one i can think of is an EVO..) they have it mounted a black plastic mount thing to make it square and legit.
