This is my Vl 88 Calais turbo project. Now for some back history.I bought a Vl Berlina turbo off forum member Loveless a couple of months ago,put on some 18'' matrix rims on and drove it around for a while. But the paint job and the body was stuffed and it had electrical faults,plus a MF5 box that crunched in 2nd gear. So i made a desison to pull everything out of it and scrap the car. I got my hands on white 88 Calais roller that was in very good condition,no rust at all around the boot and back windows,so the motor is going to go in that with a MX7 box out off one of my other Calais.As it is an ongoing project i will post up pics as i go along. My old Berlina. Motor out. Car stripped and gone for good. This is the Calais that will replace it. Picture is when the old owner had it. i do not get the rims or running gear. As you can see it is pretty mint that shell. Now for the specs of my turbo motor. RB30 Series 1 block with with acl pistons. Three layer head gaskit, shaved head. ARP head stud kit modifyed valve cover to fit.New inlet & exhaust valves.New valves. Wade 1147c cam.Monza oil catch can. Nizpro plenum on na runners,XF tb.Hybrid intercooler. 3'' intercooler pipe. Tubrosmart Megasonic BOV. GTR 440cc injectors on turbo fuel rail.Adjustable fuel reg.Walbro fuel pump.Microtech LT10 computer. Rollmaster cam gear.Heat wrapped Monza high mount turbo manifold.E-Bay T-70 oil fed turbo.External wastegate,3'' dump pipe and a 3'' exhaust with no cat fitted. 10''Flywheel Valeo Puk clutch MX7 5 speed gearbox.
