SHATTERED!! Hi all just thought id share my bad news with everyone, if your having a **** day it might make you feel better... if youve had a worse day post it and maybe ill feel better. Ive got a race meet tomorrow at sale air base, a supersprint, you start in groups of two with 6 on the track at once, lots of fun. it was going to be my first competitive speed event. Ive recently turbskied my vl and shes been running perfect. all thats left to do now is my box and diff. I bought all the goodies for a 28 spline lsd with 3.7s as tractions been an issue on practice days, and i figure the box will hold out a little longer till i gets more funds. after much FAAARRRRKKING around the axles i bought wont fit...... disappointed. I threw all the 25 spline single spinner bollicks back in for the race and have been messing around with tow points, extinguishers, brake pads, fluids and blah blah blah to get the old girl track ready. i drove her round the back to give her a wash, all good she came up a treat. then went to start her and load her on the trailer but the fuel pumps wont ******* prime!!! my ecu's cactus! prolly water damage? i plugged in an old na ecu and she starts up no worries..... SHATTERED!!!!! Life is cruel but i guess it could be worse if i was stupid enough to run with an n/a ecu and maybe low boost chances are with my luck over the last couple of weeks that ill blow my car to pieces. worth a try or just let it go and buy a slab?

depends what turbo setup you have, if its just a basic standard vlt setup then a N/A comp will be fine, many people run them with there turbo setups

I'm drowning sorrows too mate it's ok. Had much the same issue. Was meant to be drag racing in bendigo today. Similar problems. Not once but twice when I was meant to be going. Life goes on grab another beer and relax. Better than having to pay for a rebuild anyway. Get it right first.

"apparently" the n1 pumps are basically the same as the gtr pumps. but then to go for decent aftermarket one is around 2-3k

Took the plunge and hit the track, was planning on nursing the old girl a bit but there were too many cars to mow down. Was great fun, but defiantly need to sort an lsd! very frustrating single spinning in the corners. she came back in one piece and still running, i think the plugs are fowled now but was well worth it

I will get some pics and vids at the next track day, not sure whats coming up but id love a crack at phillip island.

I am in Bairnsdale and would love to take the RX7 out to one of these Peter Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
